AMSilk Webinar Replay
Digital Process Development with the Scifeon ELN/LIMS Platform

The Challenge Behind AMSilk’s Growth
This recorded session shows how AMSilk uses the Scifeon ELN/LIMS platform to support digital process development across R&D and scale-up activities. The webinar provides a practical view of how experiments, process data, and operational documentation can be captured and managed in one environment without manual steps or data fragmentation.
AMSilk works with complex biomaterial development, where data consistency, traceability, and efficient collaboration across teams are essential. The webinar illustrates how Scifeon supports these requirements and how digital workflows help reduce unstructured work, improve documentation quality, and create audit-ready records.
What This Webinar Covers
Together, AMSilk and Scifeon turned fragmented, manual workflows into a single digital backbone — one that connected teams, accelerated development, and laid the groundwork for industrial-scale operations. This session takes you inside that transformation and shows you:
How AMSilk defined the must-have criteria for a platform that could grow from agile R&D to regulated production.
How cross-functional collaboration — between process development, QA, informatics, and Scifeon’s specialists — shaped a solution built for real-world use.
What to evaluate in a digital partner to ensure the platform fits your team’s culture, decision-making, and long-term strategy.
How AMSilk avoided a one-size-fits-all rollout and built a system tailored to their workflows, compliance roadmap, and scale-up plans.
- Your questions, answered: A dedicated Q&A where AMSilk and Scifeon experts address real-world challenges submitted by participants.
Why This Matters for Biotech, R&D, and Process Development Teams
Biotech and materials science teams are managing increasing data volumes and more complex experiments. Many workflows still rely on spreadsheets, shared folders, or manual documentation. The webinar shows how a flexible ELN/LIMS environment can support scientific decision-making and prepare organizations for scale-up, tech transfer, and audits.
Speakers

Michael Hösl - Department Lead Process Development, AMSILK
Michael Hösl leads process development at AMSilk, specializing in scaling up biotech and enzyme-driven production systems. His background spans molecular biotechnology, industrial bioprocessing, and leadership of cross-functional technical teams. At AMSilk, Michael is responsible for translating lab-scale protocols into robust production workflows, ensuring compliance, and integrating informatics and process control systems into growth phases. Before AMSilk, he held roles in enzyme innovation and process development in the biotech sector.
